G1 Phone Battery

T-Mobile for a while had some problems with their batteries. There are different replacements you can get for your G1 phone. They have the electra span extended battery, it is a lithium battery with extra long life. They also have the standard capacity battery, which is a rechargable Li-lon battery. The Standard capacity is good for a replacement or a spare battery.

The T-Mobile G1 is a really great phone. The 1500mAH battery that comes with it only has a life time of about 5 hours. Which, if spaced out can seem like a long time. If your like me and like your batteries to last a lot longer, here is some advice.

It`s all in your setting options. Turn things off if you are not using them. Such as, wifi, Bluetooth, the auto synchronization, cell location and also the GPS. Why have them on if you don't need them at the time I have noticed with keeping these features turned off, unless I need to use them, has saved on my battery life.

All G1 phone batteries come with a 1 year warranty. The battery is found under the rear cover that just pops off. It is always good to keep an extra battery handy. There are some batteries you can get that can be charged through your phone or on the charger itself. Which ever battery you use, just remember it is up to you to save the battery life on it.
